N&#039;est-ce que la pointe de l&#039;iceberg de la sant\u00e9 mentale? D&#039;autres donn\u00e9es du sondage de l&#039;UNICEF aupr\u00e8s de 8 444 jeunes \u00e2g\u00e9s de 13 \u00e0 29 ans ont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que 27% souffraient d&#039;anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 et 15% de d\u00e9pression.<\/p>\n<p>Ne pas aborder les probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 mentale des adolescents peut avoir des cons\u00e9quences qui s&#039;\u00e9tendent \u00e0 l&#039;\u00e2ge adulte. Lorsque nous nous sentons en bonne forme, nous avons tendance \u00e0 nous sentir plus positifs envers nous-m\u00eames et nos capacit\u00e9s. L&#039;humeur, les perspectives et l&#039;estime de soi s&#039;am\u00e9liorent. Et pour les jeunes, l&#039;estime de soi est essentielle \u00e0 leur bien-\u00eatre, leur permettant de mieux faire face au stress, \u00e0 l&#039;anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 et \u00e0 la pression afin qu&#039;ils profitent de meilleures relations sociales, aient une attitude plus positive et soient plus r\u00e9sistants \u00e0 l&#039;adversit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Et ce n&#039;est pas tout ! L&#039;exercice a aussi des effets incroyables sur le cerveau. Les produits chimiques lib\u00e9r\u00e9s pendant l&#039;exercice, connus sous le nom d&#039;endorphines, d\u00e9clenchent des sentiments positifs qui nous rendent plus heureux et plus \u00e9nergiques, aidant \u00e0 soulager le stress, l&#039;anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 et la d\u00e9pression. \u00c0 une \u00e9poque o\u00f9 les probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 mentale augmentent, plus nous pouvons encourager les enfants \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper de saines habitudes d&#039;exercice, mieux c&#039;est. De plus, des \u00e9tudes scientifiques ont \u00e9galement montr\u00e9 que l&#039;exercice am\u00e9liore l&#039;apprentissage, la m\u00e9moire, la vigilance et la concentration. Ils mangent tous un petit d\u00e9jeuner copieux et sain et sont pr\u00eats \u00e0 s&#039;entra\u00eener dur toute la journ\u00e9e \u00e0 l&#039;ext\u00e9rieur sur la montagne. Un \u00e9l\u00e8ve a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 : \u00ab Si je me r\u00e9veillais les jours d&#039;\u00e9cole et que je faisais de l&#039;exercice, je serais plus \u00e9veill\u00e9 pendant le premier cours et je me concentrerais beaucoup mieux. Il a mis le doigt sur la t\u00eate.<\/p>\n<p>La bonne nouvelle, c&#039;est que les jeunes n&#039;ont pas \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser des performances de niveau athl\u00e8te d&#039;\u00e9lite pour en r\u00e9colter les b\u00e9n\u00e9fices ; n&#039;importe quel exercice vaut mieux que rien. Wendy Suzuki, neuroscientifique et experte mondiale en neuroplasticit\u00e9 \u00e0 l&#039;Universit\u00e9 de New York, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9: &quot;M\u00eame un seul entra\u00eenement peut avoir des effets cathartiques sur votre cerveau et votre cognition.&quot; \u00e7a vaut la peine de la regarder <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=BHY0FxzoKZE\">Conf\u00e9rence TED<\/a> pour en savoir plus.<\/p>\n<p>Alors, que peuvent faire les parents pour encourager les enfants \u00e0 \u00eatre plus actifs et \u00e0 profiter des bienfaits de l&#039;exercice\u00a0? Voici quelques id\u00e9es pour vous inspirer :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>L&#039;utilisation d&#039;applications de sant\u00e9 pour suivre les pas quotidiens peut encourager et motiver les enfants \u00e0 rester actifs.<\/li>\n<li>Avant l&#039;\u00e9cole, essayez de faire 10 minutes d&#039;exercices l\u00e9gers avec votre enfant. Il peut s&#039;agir d&#039;\u00e9tirements ou d&#039;une simple routine de yoga.<\/li>\n<li>Envisagez de vous rendre \u00e0 l&#039;\u00e9cole \u00e0 pied ou \u00e0 v\u00e9lo si c&#039;est une option.<\/li>\n<li>Encouragez les enfants \u00e0 faire une pause de cinq minutes toutes les 25 minutes d&#039;\u00e9tude et \u00e0 faire un peu de mouvement, peut-\u00eatre une marche rapide, des \u00e9tirements ou m\u00eame des sauts en \u00e9toile pour les plus jeunes.<\/li>\n<li>Essayez d&#039;encourager votre enfant \u00e0 faire quelques corv\u00e9es\u00a0!
